The great debate is happening at our house right now.
Not the name debate; not the” which colour should we paint the nursery” debate; nor does it have anything to do with anything needing to be dealt with immediately.
What we are debating over, is a carseat. For New Baby. Who is set to make it’s arrival in AUGUST.
We’re planners, what can I say?
With both boys we had a Maxi Cosi Mico (just an older version)
And while it was so light, and the seat was quite squishy, and it rocked like a dream. I hated it. The whole thing was quite narrow, and the buckles were a pain in the butt to get in.
Point of that story, we don’t have it anymore. And I’m happy about it.
This time one of us wants to go straight to a convertible rear-facing carseat (any guesses who?If you guessed “Rich”, you’d be right), while the other wants to go with a different bucket seat.
His logic is, then we won’t have to buy this kid another one down the road. Which is true. BUT shortly after this baby is born, Rich will be gone on yet another practicum, leaving me with three kids. I think being able to get New Baby all ready to go, while still inside the house would make like so much simpler.
My logic, aside from the getting ready to go part is, if baby falls asleep in the carseat I don’t have to take it out. Just bring the bucket seat inside. Problem solved. Cranky baby? Put it in the carseat and rock it to sleep. (Arlo loved his carseat. He would fall asleep in it as soon as we buckled him it. IT WAS AMAZING)
Currently the boys are in Britax convertible carseats. Teag is in the “Marathon 65-G3” and Arlo is in the “Boulevard 65-G3“And yes, the patterns are the same, Rich has a thing about matching carseats.
If we go with Rich’s plan, and get another convertible, it would also be a Britax. The pattern would however be different if the baby is a girl. PINK ALL THE WAY BABY! If it’s a boy then it will be in “Onyx” as well.
If we go with my plan and get an infant seat, then we would go with Britax Chaperone (if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Haha), because it is AMAZING. Safe, and sturdy.
And since Rich won’t be with me when I go buy it (perks of him being on practicum) maybe I will finally get a carseat in the Cowmooflage print!
……..
Now to find a double stroller that can fit three. Help me!

[...] This list is excluding a carseat, as I just wrote about it here. [...]
